mPrep ASP automated specimen processors can prepare mammalian cells, cilia, yeast, and other small specimens. Enrobing of cell pellets and similar specimens can reduce the potential for specimen damage or loss by eliminating the time-consuming and possibly damaging centrifugation and resuspension cycles that are conventionally used to exchange processing reagents. Here's a recent example of lymphocyte pellets prepared for #vEM imaging and segmentation using agar enrobing and #mPrepASP processing: https://lnkd.in/g_Z5v8TM and https://lnkd.in/gQgf2aJG A general method for agar enrobing cell pellets, in this case yeast, for #TEM imaging using mPrep ASP preparation is provided in this application note: https://bit.ly/3QyUnc6 #ElectronMicroscopy #samplepreparation #automation

Join us for the #BioEMTalks session on “Special Sample Preparations” next week, May 16th at 9am EDT. BioEMTalks has a great lineup of speakers, including Steven Goodman, who will present examples of how ASP automation and mPrep capsules are used in different labs in often clever ways to solve both unusual and more common specimen preparation issues. #ElectronMicroscopy #vEM #samplepreparation #automation #mPrepASP

So great that the Assn of Biomolecular Resource Facilities (ABRF) dedicated an opening plenary session yesterday to the importance of electron microscopy and the core labs that support this expanding technology! It was an honor to be invited to take part in the afternoon panel discussion that continued on this topic, along with Kirk Czymmek, Donald Danforth Plant Science Center; Christopher Gilpin, Purdue University; and Josh Stapleton, Penn State University. Our customer base is growing, and it was such a privilege to share some of their sample prep stories and imaging successes “here, there, and everywhere”! #vEM #volumeEM #TEM #SamplePreparation #ElectronMicroscopy #ABRF24
